Many of these people are going without help and will often blame themselves and think that they deserve it which can lead to even more harmful effects such as psychological diseases or disorders.
Child Abuse is an everyday issue that isn't always seen or shown there were about 7.2 million reports of child abuse in 2017 (Child Abuse Statistics, n.d.). These numbers are only increasing making child abuse a common act world-wide. These numbers must go down for the children to grow up in a safer environment with more love and support. There are so many people left uninformed about child abuse, so they don’t know the signs or how to help the people that are being abused. “Child abuse isn’t just about black( )eyes…” there are many mental aspects to child abuse as well as many forms, some of these forms are ignoring the child’s needs, leaving them unsupervised, leaving them in dangerous situations, making the child feel worthless or stupid, and the most heard of physical assault" (Melinda Smith, 2017). No matter the type, abuse leave emotional scars on the child that can become even more serious, if the issue is taken care of correctly then both the child and abuser can receive help, but this can only happen if the abuse is known of by other people and reported.
